Clear expectations are part of the ThreadsbyMaeva standard. Please read these policies before placing an order.
Made-to-Order Policy
All Sales Are Final
Because every ThreadsbyMaeva garment is made specifically for you — to your measurements, in your chosen fabric — all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind.
Production Timeline
Current lead time is 2–3 weeks from deposit confirmation. ThreadsbyMaeva operates at a capacity of one garment per week. This timeline is a standard of care, not a limitation. Rush orders are not available.
Deposit & Payment
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin production. The remaining balance is due before shipping. Deposits are non-refundable once production has begun. If you need to cancel before production begins, your deposit will be refunded minus a 10% administrative fee.
Waitlist
When the production schedule is full, clients are placed on the waitlist. Waitlist position is held by submitting an order request. There is no deposit required to join the waitlist. Waitlist clients are contacted in order when a slot opens.
Measurement Accuracy Policy
Client Responsibility
ThreadsbyMaeva is not responsible for fit issues resulting from inaccurate measurements provided by the client. All measurements must be submitted in centimetres. We strongly recommend using the free Measurement Checklist and having a second person assist.
Measurement Verification
We reserve the right to request clarification or re-measurement if submitted measurements appear inconsistent or outside expected proportions. This is not a judgment — it is a quality control step that protects your garment.
Gabarit Accuracy
Clients who attend a Gabarit Workshop have their measurements taken under professional guidance. These measurements are considered verified and are held on file for future orders.
Returns & Alterations Policy
No Returns
Returns are not accepted for made-to-order garments. If there is a construction defect or an error on our part, we will correct it at no charge. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your garment.
Alterations
Alterations to existing ThreadsbyMaeva garments are available at an additional cost. Contact us to discuss your alteration needs and receive a quote. Alterations are subject to availability and the current production schedule.
Defects
If your garment arrives with a construction defect, contact us within 7 days with photographs. We will assess the defect and provide a correction at no charge. Defects resulting from improper care are not covered.
Shipping Policy
Domestic Shipping (US)
Shipping to US addresses is included in the quoted price for made-to-order garments. Avaeloa Pants always include shipping in the listed price. Estimated delivery: 3–7 business days after dispatch.
International Shipping
International shipping is available at cost. Shipping cost will be included in your quote. ThreadsbyMaeva is not responsible for customs fees, import duties, or delays caused by customs processes.
Tracking
All shipments include tracking. You will receive a tracking number when your garment is dispatched.
Privacy Policy
Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide when submitting an order request or joining the waitlist: name, email address, location, measurements, and garment preferences. We do not collect payment information directly — payments are processed through secure third-party services.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to fulfill your order, communicate with you about your garment, and (with your consent) notify you of new products, workshops, and content. We do not sell, share, or rent your information to third parties.
Measurement Data
Your measurements are stored securely and used only for the production of your garments. You may request deletion of your measurement data at any time by contacting us.
